She has produced materials for PBS and other television affiliates and has written for a myriad of publications. Spencer holds degrees and certificates in education, journalism and the fine arts and has been a many time honored Wheaton College staff professional as well as alumni. She is currently writing a book, 'Professor in the Sky with Diamonds', the story of a throw away dog, turned national icon the day cancer became her life.

Noah, the 'mother of us all' booms along heartily at age 9. Though she was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis as a pup, she presents with no symptoms. Robust and fast footed, Noah creates an enigma for her doctors!
Shakespeare, one of Noah's pups wears a brain sharper than the point of a star! Born with behavioral anxiety, she stands firm by my side before crowds at events and grievers at hospitals. Walking tall, she holds the odds in her hands.
Jericho, littermate to Shakespeare is one of the three 8 year-olds of the NCSA Troupe. He has been victim to rapidly growing tumors. All these years later, no cancer has claimed any such tumor. This heart and soul boy is strong like the earth's core!
The glorious prima donna, third littermate, Butterfly. SHE is a clean slate!!! Her medical files consist of no more than split toenails. Good nutrition would probably keep them sound if she had no habit of pouncing at rocks and speed rolling them along the ground!
Father of the pups and genetic heir to NCSA's Founder, Professor, Moses' medical file has built a new wing on his hospital! Suffering from masticatory myositis, congenital eye defects, immune deficiencies and esophageal reflux, 10 year-old Moses is said to be cured. His specialists scratch their heads while Moses directs his family with power and precision as he flies through the air with the greatest of ease!!!
A purchased puppy to bring cancer stricken Professor back to life, Spencer is now an unstoppable 11 years-old! This animal, brother of Noah, has severe hip dysplasia, arthritis and epilepsy. Doctors bow to him as he hurdles agility jumps and performs underwater search and rescue!! He is not touched with the knowledge of his difficulties and after commencing with a wellness diet he has been seizure free for 8 years!!

Professor, mother of Andrea's Weimaraner Troupe, is featured in her '66 Mustang on Halloween 1997. With cancer in its early stages, Professor and friend Kristen took to the road in this media event to say, "I will make you a miracle that you will carry in this parade long beyond the time of this photo." Every year thousands of families attend this parade in Norton Massachusetts. Professor's memory marches strong and tall with floats, police dogs, veterinarians, radio stations, banners, and a '66 red Mustang with a holiday glow in the back seat.

And on this day . . .
unexpectedly alive, she faced those cameras ! ..... and I, I held Valentine arms all around her.
Pictured above is Doctor Stephen Caldwell measuring out Professor's grim prognosis.
Her cancer had returned. There was no more chemo, radiation, holistic remedy to be had. On this Valentine's Day, before the front page cameras, we learned the doctor had done all he could. Posthumously, Professor delivered this award to Caldwell as HE lay dying 2 years later from traumatic brain injury.
Miraculously, Caldwell survived. But then . . . . . so did Professor. (scroll down to trauma center story where Professor's puppy 'Spencer' and Andrea are pictured with Caldwell recovering from coma devastation. The doctor, who followed each moment of Professor's cancer stricken life receives a word of love from Professor. "Faithfully, we followed God's plan and found ourselves in His miracle."
